Biography

Brendan Wolfe is a writer and editor living in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is the author of Finding Bix, a book-length essay on Bix Beiderbecke, to be published by Speck Press in 2011. His book reviews and essays have appeared in Colorado Review, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Christian Science Monitor, Virginia Quarterly Review, January Magazine, The Quarterly Conversation, and Kirkus. A personal essay, "This Is Not a Review of Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony," was published in Healing: 20 Prominent Authors Write About Inspirational Moments of Achieving Health and Gaining Insight (Lee Gutkind, ed.; Tarcher/Putnam, 2001).
